This recently introduced kit from Airfix is a completely new kit. The kit scales out to almost exactly 1/72nd scale. Detail is pretty good with only a few modifications needed.

As on the Jeep kit this grill will need to be reworked to get rid of the British style plate. Other than that the kit looks pretty good. I would say it’s a large step up from the older Hasegawa CCKW kit and compare very well against the newer PST kits.

Again as with the jeep kit he windshield looks like it could use some attention. The plastic used appears to be overly thick and out of scale. Personally I plan on using the kit windshield as a template and fabricating a new one from sheet brass and one of the liquid type ”glass” products out there (essentially clear drying white glue)

This kit has a lot of promise and many conversions can be produced from this. Other than those items I mentioned this should build up to a very nice kit. I highly recommend trying this kit.
